{"id":1019,"date":"2014-01-05T22:47:50","date_gmt":"2014-01-05T12:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pescapresents.com\/blog\/?p=1019"},"modified":"2014-01-22T16:33:31","modified_gmt":"2014-01-22T06:33:31","slug":"sunday-stash-amitie-textiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.pescapresents.com\/blog\/2014\/01\/sunday-stash-amitie-textiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday Stash &#8211; Amitie Textiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Happy New Year everyone!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Considering the rapid intake of fabric over the holidays, all technically purchased or received in 2013, \u00a0you&#8217;d think I was partaking in the <a title=\"Fabriholics Anonymous link up hosted by Making Rebecca Lynne\" href=\"http:\/\/www.makingrebeccalynne.com\/2014\/01\/fabriholics-anonymous-sign-ups.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fabriholics Anonymous fabric fast<\/a>\u00a0of 2014 and doing some last minute stashing. I&#8217;m not, at least, not intentionally, though there is always the vague intent to use what I have and only buy what I need for a particular project.<\/p>\n<p>My latest additions have come to me in different forms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a particular line &amp; coordinates I purchased for myself &#8220;for Christmas&#8221; that I&#8217;ve been holding out on for months<\/li>\n<li>fabric received as a Christmas gift<\/li>\n<li>fabric purchased while visiting specific stores while on holiday (different state, doesn&#8217;t count right?)<\/li>\n<li>and a few on-a-whim scrap packs purchased via an Instagram sale from the lovely <a title=\"Penny Poppleton\" href=\"http:\/\/pennypoppleton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ms Poppleton<\/a> (she has great taste, these scraps are so yummy!).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Today I&#8217;m going to share some of my holiday purchases from an amazing store called <a title=\"Amitie Textiles\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amitie.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amitie Textiles<\/a>. We popped down to Melbourne for a few days to ring in the New Year and as a bit of a significant birthday present, so of course I found a few fabric stores highly recommended by fellow bloggers to visit, and Amitie was at the top of my list.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a fairly quick and easy train ride from the city and a short walk from the station, so totally worth the trip. They have a gorgeous store stocking so many beautiful fabrics, patterns and notions but by far my favourite was the range of <a title=\"Liberty of London Fabrics\" href=\"http:\/\/www.liberty.co.uk\/fcp\/departmenthome\/dept\/fabrics\" target=\"_blank\">Liberty<\/a> prints in store. I could have stayed there just running my hands over the fabric for hours.
